It all started at a downtown Seattle bus stop - I caught his eye, he caught mine. A little smiling and flirting through a bus window lead to a Missed Connections post noticed by a co-worker I’d told about the handsome guy I’d seen at the bus stop. A movie date turned into a walk at the park, then dinner, then coffee - my longest first date ever at just shy of 11 hours - where we discovered we had friends, goals and experiences in common. A whirlwind of awesome dates, crazy life stuff happening, serious support for each other, job changes, moving, moving in, and realizing that we even liked each other when we were both exhausted and sick on a return flight home from a disastrous “vacation” followed. Nearly four years later, we’ve been married for nearly two years and have a beautiful one year old son.
